"U" hual NOT "they" hual

three weeks have passed since our 40hour+ road trip to the sunshine state.
looking back on it now I would have to say it was pretty miserable being in that truck.
but having the memories of driving across wyoming, nebraska, missouri, illinios, kentucky, tennesse + georgia made it pretty worth it.
I definitely couldn't have done it without Zach, he literally drove the whole way!
But seriously have you ever driven a massive 15' Uhual? It is seriously so scary!
Some highlights of our trip would definitely be listening to harry potter on tape, looking for any historical landmarks along the way, praising our cute little puppy for being so so SO amazing in the truck, she got her own little private (super comfy mind you) seat in the truck + noticing how amazing my hubby is :]
I was honestly so lazy about taking pictures the whole way but here are a few snap shots from our trip :]

p.s did you know its called "u"dual cause "you" move it all? ahaha I'm so sorry this new blonde hair is getting to me;]

A Fonda Fourth.

so our fourth was a little different than we would have expected.
i get a text from Zach around 4 o'clock on Thursday afternoon asking if I wanted to do something spontaneous...
"why yes of course i do!"
i was thinking we might go out to dinner or go exploring.
NO
he asks if I would want to go to VEGAS for the weekend
AND
we would be leaving in 3 hours...
oh yes...it was on.
3 hours later we were off in the car on the way to LAS VEGAS!
It was so much fun!
Friday morning we drove down the strip to see the sights, one being Counts Kustoms
(anybody seen Pawn Stars? On history channel and my husband loves the show)
ok I do too ;]
it was so unbelievably hot that day.
I don't mean it was 98 and burning.
It was freaking 107 and roasting!
I don't think I have ever felt that kind of heat in my life.
Florida heat isn't even that bad!
But hey what better way to beat the heat than to go to amazing sushi + than a legit water park.
This water park was so cool!
We got dip+dots and rode almost ever slide it was awesome!
On the fourth we were able to go on an awesome hike up Red Rock canyon with some of our friends.
Not going to lie I was super nervous.
I have never EVER done a hike climb like this before.
Thank goodness it was overcast cause there was no way I could do that in the heat plus the burning sun!
The hike was well worth it because the whole view of the strip!
That evening we were able to go out to dinner at the Venetian + walk the strip before the fireworks.
Let me tell you it was crazy.
For some reason not crazy drunk people, but just crazy amounts of people. Thousands of people.
So worth it.
We both were so tired by the end of the night + couldn't wait for sleep!
When we got home we lit the sparklers we bought before we left :]
hope everyone had an amazing + safe fourth :*

#SlheesVdayGiveaway

Before our wedding we won an Instagram giveaway from one of my favorite photographers
her name is Ashley Rae @shleeeeeeeeee
I was so excited to have won this special photo session, because at the time we had a horrible experience with our first engagement photographer, (you can read about that here)
but since we had already booked a replacement Ashley had kindly agreed to take some photos of us after we got married.
So in sunny, burning hot Utah (seriously it was so hot outside) we went to meet Ashley at Salt Air.
It was pretty breath taking not going to lie.
I really loved the white salty ground with the bold blue sky.
The bugs were the only thing was bad about that day lol
Ashley and Zach can attest to that!
We really loved working with Ashley and would definitely recommend her.
She is humble, sweet and truly talented.
Thank you Ashley we love them!

ps. A lot of you asked where I got my dress! I got mine from shopstevie it was totally worth wearing in the heat for these pictures :]
