double date night.

zach + i, l o v e food.

we love cooking for each other, especially when the other one [zach] has a ton of homework.

we have been spending a lot of time with our friends courtney + austin.

they are a pretty similar couple. 

we like to watch movies, laugh at the same jokes + eat the same food.

so naturally while our boys are snowboarding at Targee court + i wanted to make them some great food for when they came home.

so we made lemon linguine and baked apple turnovers.

so we didn't take any photos of our turnovers because we couldn't wait to eat them!
they were so delicious!

our little vacation.

besides our engagement, our florida vacation was a m a z i n g.

we played with my new camera, 

we camped for new years,

we played at the beach [of course saw some sharks]

girls shopped while boys hunted,

had a double date with zach's parents [which are my favorite btw]

+ soaked up that florida sun as much as we could.

we love florida.

there is so much to do + explore.

so you know how we met.

here is how he asked.

so i always thought that he was a terrible lier.

he can never keep a straight face, like he knows that you know he is fibbing.

when i wondered if he would pop the question over break.

he said, "yea that probably won't happen."

how is a girl to react to that!

so i assumed nahhh he won't ask for awhile.

i was so wrong.

so christmas eve was the day he chose.

boy oh boy was i glad he did.

we went to the beach that day to build a "sandman."

i know the beach in december, it was awesome.

on the way there + on the way back we heard one song on the radio.

i have heard the song many times before, especially with zach,

but this time he just kept looking over at me super strange,

but for some reason i thought nothing of it.

as the day went on we got ready for the family festivities that were going to happen that night.

got all dressed up for a night of dinner and presents at nana's

but first ornaments.

christmas at the Fonda's means that everyone in the family gets a special ornament.

i knew that zach had picked out mine, but had no idea what it would be.

everyone wanted me to go last but i didn't think about why.

first, zach's dad.

second, zach's mom.

third, zach's brother.

fourth, zach.

then me.

i love this part of the story and my heart is just racing getting to this part :]

i remembering seeing the words before i got the ornament out of the bag.

at first no thoughts, is this what i think it says?

out of the corner of my eye i see him move.

i look over and see him on his knee.

and my heart literally stopped, this is real, is this real?

i always thought i would cry when someone asked me to marry them.

but all i did was smile, from ear to ear.

i couldn't help it, the man of my dreams is down on one knee.

"will you marry me?"

it came out like word vomit...

"is this real?!"

"of course its real! wait is that a yes?"

of course the ornament gave me my answer..."say

YES!!!"

yep. we totally camped for new year's eve.

what what.

annndddd we were in bed by 10:30pm.

yep. i know.

but guess what we had so much fun!

we made hot dogs + hamburgers + s'mores.

played guitar + played with sparklers + cameras.

for us we didn't have to stay up super late to celebrate the new year.

all we needed was family + some really loud laughing.

thats how we roll.
